The Outer Banks are a 200 mile stretch of barrier islands separating the south-eastern Virginian and North Carolina coast from the Atlantic ocean. European settlers arrived to the islands as early as the 1500s, though the land had been settled as long as a thousand years earlier by the Algonquin, Chowanog, and Poteskeet tribes.

A hand-illustrated letterpress chart detailing flora and fauna native to the Outer Banks, a 200 mile stretch of barrier islands separating the south-eastern Virginian and North Carolina coast from the Atlantic ocean. This guide features wildlife including cobia, bay scallop, and leatherback sea turtle.

A portion of the sale of all field guides is donated to the Sierra Club to ensure the ongoing protection of our wild lands.
